4 Most Powerful Prayers For Your Children

We are full of so much joy and happiness on special occasions like Christmas, New Year, Weddings, Birthdays, Valentine days, Graduation, etc.  We feel loved seeing our friends and loved ones around us. So much joy, laughter and giving of gifts is the order of the day because the day has been marked ‘SPECIAL’.  So is the birth of a child.  I see the day a child is born to be a joyous day.  The pain during pregnancy and delivery are all forgotten immediate the beautiful gift is born.  Psalm 127:3 make us understand that children are an heritage (a gift) from the Lord.  John 16:21  also indicated that “When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.”

A gift needs to be taken care of and praying for our children is one of the ways to show our love and concern for their physical, spiritual & emotional needs.  Be encouraged by these scriptures.

God’s Blessings
Pray for their lives to be preserved by God and that they’ll walk in the fear and knowledge of God.  We saw this in the life of Abraham who prayed for his son Ishmael.  So Abraham said to God, “May Ishmael live under your special blessing!” Genesis 17:18 (NLT)

A Devoted Heart
Pray for your children to have a devoted heart to keep God’s commands.  An example is David, for Solomon Give my son Solomon the wholehearted desire to obey all your commands, laws, and decrees, and to do everything necessary to build this Temple, for which I have made these preparations.” 1 Chronicles 29:19 (NLT)

Forgiveness Of Sins
Pray and constantly (i.e. daily) ask for the forgiveness of sins for your children.  Job consecrated and offered burnt offerings to the Lord on behalf of all his children and he did this continually.  And when the days of the feast had run their course, Job would send and consecrate them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my children have sinned, and cursed[a] God in their hearts.” Thus Job did continually.” Job 1:5 (ESV)

Health
Always pray for their health without giving up.  Pray for their physical and emotional health including any demonic attacks, etc. Build a life of FAITH to see deliverance in the lives of your children.  James 5:15 says  ”And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”  The Syrophoenician Woman exhibited great faith for the healing of her daughter – Mark 7:26-30

May we be women of faith who always have a relentless life of prayer.
